Arusha is often called the “Safari Capital of Tanzania”, and for many travelers it serves as the cultural, logistical, and experiential gateway to Tanzania’s northern wildlife circuit. Located at the foot of Mount Meru and within sight of Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha is both an adventure hub and a richly layered destination worth exploring in its own right.

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania’s Manyara region, is one of the country’s most underrated yet truly exceptional safari destinations. Covering approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles), the park is part of Tanzania’s famous Northern Safari Circuit, but is often quieter and less crowded than Serengeti or Ngorongoro — making it a favorite for wildlife enthusiasts seeking a more intimate safari experience.

Staying at this fine tented camp puts you right on the doorstep of Tarangire National Park, but in an area where the only passing traffic is likely to be the national park's wildlife. Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the most spectacular safari destinations in Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It forms part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), which spans about 8,300 square kilometers (3,200 square miles) and borders the Serengeti National Park to the west. The crater itself is the world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera, and its enclosed ecosystem supports an astonishing concentration of wildlife within a relatively small area — making it one of the most unique safari experiences on Earth.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Covering approximately 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 square miles), it forms the heart of the larger Serengeti ecosystem, which also includes Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve to the north and Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the southeast. The park is renowned for its vast open plains, rich biodiversity, and dramatic wildlife spectacles, making it a top-tier safari destination for travelers from around the globe.
